Communication and Career Development Course
In line with NTU policy, AWEC offers Writing as Creative Communication, Writing with a Point of View, Business & Technical English Writing Applications, English Writing for Academic Pursuit, English Written and Oral Communication for Professional Pursuit, Introduction to English Presentations, Exploratory Writers on a 5-Minute Stage, Storytelling and Communication for Social Change and Leadership, Popular Science Writing, and, Reading to Connect. These courses provide undergraduate students with more opportunities to practice writing. These courses are conducted in a dual-mode design—large theory classes deliver fundamental knowledge and skills via various teaching materials and resources, and small practicals enhance team collaboration and problem solving. The ultimate goal is to strengthen academic and professional competencies, written and oral communication skills, critical and analytical thinking, and informational design and employment.
