英文專題寫作

課程概述

Novice researchers often need to present credible and persuasive evidence and ideas to a variety of audiences in writing. Research writing tasks may include finding sources, evaluating their credibility, and successfully integrating them into academic texts. This course assumes a basic understanding of English grammar and mechanics and will help students work on a mini-project where they write up a well-researched, organized, and correctly documented paper. They will learn how to find, evaluate, and document sources and smoothly incorporate information from research into their writing while following the principles of academic integrity. Students will ultimately demonstrate the ability to make conscious decisions about styles, genres, sources, and citation styles.
