While words are the smallest unit for getting every single idea across, writing is the spark to light them up, eternally. It may not be as warm as the sun, yet it records the temperature of human thoughts; not as bright as the star, yet dazzles us in every possible form; and not as indispensable as the air, yet essential for the nourishment of an agile mind. Hence we wrote, write, and will be writing — through pictograms, hieroglyphs, runes, paper, all the way to electronic documents across a span of more than 6,000 years — to communicate and commemorate.
